The following is a game summary from Gull Lake Lions’ coach Neal Boutin:

On a beautiful day for 6 man football (October 5), the Caronport Cougars headed down the #1 for a game against the Gull Lake Lions. In the first quarter the defences stayed at home, as the two teams went toe to toe in an all out offensive shootout. By the beginning of the 2nd quarter the score was tied at 32. The rest of the quarter was much the same, and at the half, the Cougars held a slim 45-44 lead, after they hit pay dirt on the last play. An unfortunate injury to Caronport's QB changed the tide of the game in the second half, and the Lions were able to take the lead back and hold on for an 80-63 victory.

In 9 man football action under the lights on October 6, the Shaunavon Shadows defeated Indian Head 37-26.
