MAJOR CORPORATE SPONSORS OF THE SHSAA
Sask Lotteries is the main fundraiser for more than 12,000 volunteer-led sport, culture, and recreation groups in Saskatchewan.
Proceeds from Sask Lotteries fund groups like ours whose activities help us all to grow, learn, and play! Learn more about Sask Lotteries and the sport, culture, and recreation groups that benefit at www.sasklotteries.ca.
The sponsorship from the Saskatchewan Milk Marketing Board has been a long-standing partnership. We have been extremely fortunate to have this organization supporting the activities of the SHSAA.
Their sponsorship includes: providing Milk to every participant in Provincial competitions throughout the year; the SHSAA yearly calendar is produced through a grant from the Saskatchewan Milk Marketing Board; Sask Milk provides a large cash donation to the general activities program of the Association; and the Saskatchewan Milk Marketing Board have teamed with the SHSAA to sponsor the Sportsmanship program.
Through the Sportsmanship program, the Association recognizes the positive aspects of participation at the provincial championship in five of our activities. We are able to recognize the accomplishments of the school team at a student assembly following the championship where a Sportsmanship Banner is presented and all students in the school are provided with milk.
SaskTel has been a long-term corporate sponsor of the Association. The sponsorship helps finance the many high school athletic programs that the Association provides.
SaskTel is the exclusive supplier of communication and internet services for the SHSAA. We are thankful for SaskTel's financial and communications support.
EDUCATIONAL PARTNERS OF THE SHSAA
The SHSAA serves the needs of over 35,000 student- athletes in 10 sponsored activities. Some of these students continue their athletic careers at the university level, but more importantly, a large majority of them continue their academic studies at a post-secondary institution. It was with this in mind, that an agreement was reached between SHSAA and the University of Regina. On behalf of the students who benefit from the use of the facilities at the U of R, SHSAA thank the faculty of kinesiology, under the leadership of Harold Riemer, for their commitment to the SHSAA.
The early history of the SHSAA has many ties to individuals and facilities at the U of S campus so this sponsorship is an exciting way for the two organizations to continue those ties and grow high school sport in the province.
Thank you to Huskie Athletics for the generous support. The financial support provided by Huskie Athletics provides resources by which the SHSAA will continue to offer outstanding programming to the student-athletes of Saskatchewan as they develop the skills of citizenship to be practiced beyond their high school years.
