QVDA and PVSD Curling 2011 / 12

This is a call for interest in curling. There were no leagues last year and no plans for any this year.  Once information is collected from schools, and their teams, it will be passed on to Athletic Directors. Then coaches can have a contact list if they want to set up games with other schools. I would ask that you fill out the attachment and e mail it to me. Please have that information into me by Dec 15th, 2011.

Senior Playoffs:
You are allowed to enter 2 teams from the same school in a category. If we need pre-district playoffs they will begin Jan. 21st. The district playoffs are set up for Feb. 10/11 in Whitewood. The top 2 teams from districts in each category will move on to regionals.

Regionals will be held on Feb. 17/18 in the QVDA District with the top 2 teams in each category moving on to the provincial championships. Montmartre is hosting SR Boys; North Valley Mixed and Sr GIrls is currently open (We need bids asap)

Provincial Championships in the Sr Girls and Boys categories are in Weyburn; Abbey will host the Sr Mixed, on Mar 2/3.

Junior:
There are QVDA district playoffs set for Junior (gr.9 and under) for March 10th in Whitewood. Pre-districts will be held, if necessary, with dates and format to be determined.

Elementary:
Lumsden Elem. has agreed to host a rec /competitive bonspiel, for Elem (8 and under) curling teams on Mar 3rd.

Like all QVDA and PVSD championships, a participant can only be on 1 team (girls/boys/mixed) and in one championship (Elem or Jr). 

It is very important that I receive your entries by the date requested. There may have to be changes after Christmas break, but we need a fairly good idea of what things will look like.
