4. Rules
For League Games:
- Start
at 4:15 pm
- No
inning to start after 5:45 pm, except play-offs.
- Games
are five innings
- * Motion
- If a team is ahead by 10 runs after 4 innings of a league
game and the coaches agree to play the final inning the
score after the final inning will be the score of record
- In
case of bad weather, three innings constitute a game.
- It
is the home team's responsibility to re-schedule rain outs.
It will be the assumption of all involved that the game
will be played the following day if possible. The coach
must contact the visiting team's coach, confirm a date for
the playing of the game and then call the Commissioner.
The Commissioner will call the Assigner and ensure that
an umpire will be available for the rescheduled game.
- All league games that are tied after five innings will remain tied. No extra innings will be played.
- For all league games the Home and Visiting team will each supply two (2) baseballs.
- Home team has choice of Fist Base bench
- Umpire in Chief will assign base umpires for all league games and the home team will cover the cost.
5. Tie
Breaking Procedures:
- Head-to-Head
record between tied teams.
- In
the event of three or more tied teams, difference between
runs for and runs against in games played among those tied
teams.
NOTE:
To alleviate "running up scores", a maximum difference
of 7 runs in a game will be used in the calculations.
"If teams do not play an equal number of league games
because of weather and resultant re-scheduling problems, we
will use a percentage system to determine final order of finish.
(Example):
A team winning 4 games out of 8 played would have earned 8
points out of a possible 16 points or a 50% success rate.
A team winning 3 games of 7 played would have earned 6 points
out of a possible 14 points for a 43% success rate and therefore
would finish below the team cited above.
6. Play-offs:
1. Quarter Finals
- The top four finishers qualify for the quarter finals:
#4 Meginbir @ #1 Homme #4 Homme @ #1 Meginbir
#3 Meginbir @ #2 Homme #3 Homme @ #2 Meginbir
2. Semi Finals
- Quarter finals winners will be re – shuffled and the semi finals math ups are as follows:
Lowest Finisher @ Highest Finisher
Third Lowest Finisher @ Second Lowest Finisher
- The
Home Team will be the team with the best record.
- The
Home team in the final will be decided by a flip of a coin
if the two teams have identical records. Otherwise the team
with the best winning record (% or otherwise) will be declared
the home team.
- Mercy
Rule: City Final 10 up after five innings.
- This
game will be seven innings.
- Home
games in the play-offs may only be played at fields with
mounds.
- Home team will occupy First Base Bench
