Soccer

Soccer (5.5)

1. Roster size and the number of substitutions are unlimited at all RHSAA and SHSAA competitions

2. Referees will be supplied by the Commissioner.

3. Practice will start on the first day students return to classes in the earliest school division involved

4. Player eligibility lists must be registered on the SHSAA web site twenty - four (24) hours prior to your first league game.

5. a. All games will start at 5:00 PM and will consist of 45 minute halves.
b. Playoff games will start at 3:30 PM.

6. The number of league games played in a season will be determined at the pre-season meeting.

7. The leagues are as follows:
Girls - Large / Small School
Boys - Large / Small School

* League play only. Games versus Notre Dame and Greenall count in the league standings. Notre Dame and Greenall will compete in the RHSAA play-offs.

10. Ties in the standings will be broken by the following procedure:
o The side that won the game between the two tied teams.
o The team with the most wins between the tied teams.
o The team with the best for and against among the tied teams only.
o The team with the best for and against among all teams (5 goal maximum difference rule!
o Any other possibilities are to be handled by the Commissioner and the coaches involved (ie: make-up game).

11. Ties in the play-offs will be broken by two (2) 5-minute halves, followed by a shoot-out if necessary.

12. Referees must report all game suspensions on the Report Form provided. In all red card situations, the player will sit out the next game. The coach of the suspended player(s) must contact the Commissioner and report the suspension within twenty-four (24) hours.

Substitutions will not be allowed for the red carded player.

13. All participants playing in the high school soccer league are required to wear shin pads.

14. League all-stars - 11 per conference (pool).
Example: Top 3 teams - 2 all-stars
Remaining teams - 1 all-star

15. Team benches will both be on the same side of the field.

16. In the event that two teams have the same colour jersey it is the responsibility of the home team to wear a different jersey or wear pinnies.
