5. The Commissioner shall keep up to date records of Zone
and City Track and Field results.
6. An
athlete may enter four individual events plus relays in the
City Meet.
- A school is allowed to enter a maximum of two (2) entries
per Field event and four (4) entries per Track event.
- The
3000 meter finals will be run on the day of the last mini
meet, one week prior to the City Championship.
7. If
a midget is moved up to Junior for the City Meet, he or she
may still set the midget record while competing as a Junior.
8. All
teachers working at the track must report to the track official
for assignment of duties.
9. The
R.H.S.A.A. may host two indoor mini-meets at the Fieldhouse.
10. Eligibility
is to be posted on the SHSAA web site prior to the student
competing in any meet.
11. Schedules
for all meets will be made available through the R.H.S.A.A.
Athletic Office.
12. Advancement
in Heats: (100m / 200m / 400m / Hurdles)
2 Heats:
The top 2 runners in each heat advance to the final plus the
next 4 fastest times.
3 Heats:
The top 2 runners in each heat advance to the final plus the
next 2 fastest times.
13. Athletes
competing in RHSAA sanctioned meets must adhere to the following
dress regulations:
- A clean,
untattered T-shirt, sweat top or track singlet, preferably
identifying the school the student represents, must be worn.
Any apparel identifying the athlete as belonging to a track
club is not to be worn as part of an RHSAA meet. As well,
a clean, untattered pair of shorts, sweat pants or leggings
must complete the athlete's outfit.
- Head
gear shall not be worn except for health or religious reasons.
- The
track, jump areas and javelin approach at Douglas Park have
a Chevron surface. Spikes longer than 6mm in length will
not be allowed.
