SHSAA Report: Executive Director Larry LaFrentz
a) SHSAA Bulletin is no longer. The web site has become
the main communication tool for the Association
b) AGM in June 2003
- Transfer policy was passed and is in effect. Larry
briefly explained the main components of the policy
- Student athletes must be supervised by a coach from
the school division
- A school can have coed teams if numbers don't permit
gendered teams. They must compete in the boy's category.
- Team fees have increased to $35.00 from $30.00
- Basketball and wrestling official's pay scales increased
- Larry pointed out provincial host bids that are available.
Please submit host bids by December 1, 2003
- Sanctioned tournaments - Be sure that inter-provincial
play is sanctioned. Check the web-site or contact the
SHSAA Office
- Coaches cards - $ 10.00 good for two years

a) It resolved Sr. Badminton start play at 10:00 A.M.

involve all Division winners where applicable. The senior
basketball draw will be followed (1 Day - Shortened

a) Activity rotation procedure carried out and completed.
Copies of new rotation distributed to members. (If was
noted that some of our host schools are "on the
bubble:, which may change host locations. This will
be determined at the end of September, with changes
made as needed.
b)
Craig reviewed on-line registration procedures and West
Central's on-line activity reports.
c)
Medals: commissioners asked to pick up medals for District
Playoffs (we will have to try to do a better job of
making sure medals get to new locations if playoff locations
change)

Bids for these championships are to be in before December
1, 2003. Locations will be decided by SHSAA Executive
