7.1. Winter Activities- Lyle McKellar (copies of the
reports may be obtained by contacting Lyle)

7.1.2. Girls Soccer - recommendation to move Soccer
to spring (champion - LCBI)
7.1.3. Boys Soccer - see girls soccer (champion - Cando)
7.1.4. Senior District Curling - recommendation of using
wild cards to fill spots of missing divisions (Biggar
won all categories, Kerrobert won provincial gold)

A big thank you to Kindersley for hosting even though
they had no teams involved. (champions - mixed - St.
Gabriel, boys - Biggar, girls- Langham)
7.1.6. Junior Girls Basketball - there was a change
in the draw to move the 'B' semifinal from the bottom
of the bracket to the top of the bracket. (champion
- Outlook)
7.1.7. 1A Girls Basketball - recommendation to use officials
that are not from the host community (champion - Eatonia)
7.1.8. 2A Girls Basketball - no recommendations (champion
- Asquith)
7.1.9. 3A Girls Basketball - recommendation to contact
each team prior to tournament to ensure there are no
problems with the draw (Champion - LCBI)
7.1.10. 1A Boys Basketball - no recommendation (champion

our District format similar to the regional format of

database on our website that could be accessed by the
clinicians

7.4. SHSAA - Kevin Vollet
7.4.1. Thank you to everyone who hosted SHSAA Regional
and Provincial championships.
7.4.2. Executive meeting Apr. 8 and 9, 2005 in Saskatoon
7.4.3. Provincial Grass Golf is in Swift Current on
the same weekend as the SRC Leadership Conference so
hotels are at a premium. It was suggested that the District
book rooms now (Best Western or Caravel).
7.4.4. Championships that are open for bids for the
06 - 07 school year
7.4.4.1. All curling, golf, and soccer
7.4.4.2. 2A Girls Volleyball
7.4.4.3. 2A Boys Volleyball
7.4.4.4. Regional Badminton ( Section IV )
7.4.4.5. Annual Meeting ( Section IV )
7.4.5. Coaches symposium August 22, 23, 2005 in Saskatoon
7.4.6. School sport week Oct. 16 - 21
7.4.7. AGM - Semi formal dress at the Merit award banquet
7.4.7.1. Outstanding Coaches award will now be handed
out at the District meeting
7.4.7.2. There will be a PowerPoint presentation for
Service and Merit award recipients pictures will be
needed from the district for the SHSAA.
7.4.7.3. SHSAA has resigned with Sasktel Mobility ($10,000.00)
8.
New Business
8.1. Basketball discussion paper
A round table discussion was held concerning the three
topics and recommendations by the SHSAA Executive. Everyone
is encouraged to forward their own comments to the SHSAA.
8.2. Restructuring
8.2.1. Troy Wist proposal was handed out and discussed
8.2.2. Kevin Vollet outlined some possible scenarios
for playoffs leading to Provincial championships in
the new Divisions and Districts.
8.3. Resolutions
8.3.1. West Central - Be it resolved that in West Central
Jr. Golf a team must consist of both genders to a maximum
of 6 players, no more than 4 of one gender. The lowest
four scores of the team on each hole regardless of sex
will count for the team competition.(Terry motioned,
John seconded) (carried)
8.3.2. SHSAA - Be it resolved that the 24 teams qualifying
for regional volleyball be seeded into four regional
tournaments similar to the format of regional basketball.

8.3.3. SHSAA - Be it resolved that there be a maximum
of three teams advancing to regional volleyball from
any District. (Kevin G. motioned, Jeff S. seconded)

8.3.4. Boys provincial volleyball always the last weekend
in November - NO MOTION
8.3.5. SHSAA - Be it resolved that both boys and girls
soccer be moved to a Spring activity on the SHSAA calendar
for 2005-06. (Cliff Adelman motioned, Andrew M. seconded)

8.3.6. SHSAA - Be it resolved that facility requirements
for SHSAA Provincial and Regional Badminton be a minimum
of 4 courts available. This could mean be two or more
facilities of 3 courts. (Ken Parker motioned, Jeff S.
seconded) (carried)
8.4. Awards Committee
8.4.1. Jeff S., Miles B., Ken P., and Lyle M. (Chairman)
8.4.2. Lyle will send out reminders and nomination forms
to each school, once again. All award nominations need
to be in by April 30 ,2005. Please submit to Lyle.
8.5. Coaching Symposium
8.5.1. Money is available for people to go. Apply to
the President of WCHSAA by June 30, 2005. Forms will
be emailed to every school and will be online.
8.6. Badminton
8.6.1. Junior and Senior districts are both on the same
day. (Sat. Apr. 30, 2005)
8.6.2. Regionals are in Wilkie
8.7. Track
8.7.1. Debbie Banks (Kyle School) will be the District
Commissioner for Track. She will also serve as female
coach for Provincials. We will need to name a male coach
after our District meet
8.7.2. Division Track reps should contact Debbie. Lyle
McKellar needs the email for each of your fast track
people, so that he can email them the file for entries
in the fastrack program.
8.7.3. West Central is responsible for two workers at
each Track session at Provincial Track. A workers rotation
will be set up following the District meet.
8.7.4. Individual coaches will be assigned to each of
the West Central Relay teams following the District
meet.
8.8. SHSAA AGM - delegates, observers, and gift
8.8.1. Delegates - as named at the Fall AGM
8.8.2. Those who are interested in attending as observers
should contact Lyle as soon as possible.
8.8.3. Kindersley is responsible for the gift.
8.9. Extra Medals
8.9.1. Please return any extras to Lyle
8.9.2. $5 each for teams requiring more than the allotted
number as per the constitution
8.10. Team sanction - none
8.11. Cancelled fees
8.11.1. Check to see if you have been credited online
8.12. Activity Rotation
8.12.1. Draft copy is available and will be online
8.13. Fall AGM - Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005 @2:00pm in
Rosetown.
