a) The deadline to enter teams for the BW district playoffs shall be the same date as the E-5 deadline.
b) The BW district championship shall be a single classification involving all BW schools.
c) The BW “Tier 1” district championship will be an evening “Final Four” to be played the last week of February before Family Day.
d) If there are 8 or more teams registered, there will also be a consolation “Final Four” “Tier 2” for teams in the 5th to 8th places to be played the last week of February before Family Day.
e) The top 2 seeded teams in the district will receive an automatic bye into the championship.
f) The remaining teams will qualify by a play-in tournament to be held on the Saturday preceding the “Final Four”. This will be a seeded draw using seeding templates found on the SHSAA website.
g) All games will be 4 - 8 minute quarters. Overtime periods shall be 4 minutes in duration.
h) If there are fewer than 8 teams the President (and/or the Executive) will determine the number of teams to compete in the Tier 2 championship.

For the 2023/24 school year Battle West will provide a 3v3 District Basketball Championship for appropriate categories (junior boys, junior girls, senior boys, senior girls). Championship dates and categories will be determined by the Executive. Athletes cannot, unless approved by the Executive, be rostered on two teams. More info to come.
