Welcome back to the beginning of what hopes to be another fantastic year for QVDA athletics. The strength of our District greatly depends on the support of administration and the coordination of athletic directors. As your school prepares for the upcoming year I wanted to draw your attention to some important upcoming dates.

• The QVDA Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 8th at the Town Hall and Opera House in Wolseley. Supper will be served at 5:30 with the Annual General Meeting to follow. Award recipients from last year will be recognized, bids to host decided and the QVDA executive elected. At least one delegate from each school needs to attend. 

• I have attached the 2016-17 Championship hosts document, which highlights all of the Championships that need hosts for this year and a couple for next year as well. Please talk to your coaches and staff to gauge interest and encourage the rewarding experience of hosting an event within your school. Bid to host forms aren’t required to be sent in advance but must be filled out to submit at the meeting.
