SWAC senior volleyball leagues will begin soon.  On the boys’ side we have 5 teams competing:  Frontier, Hazlet, Ponteix, Shaunavon and Vanguard.  There are 9 teams on the girls’ side:  Eastend/Consul, Fox Valley, Frontier, Gull Lake, Hazlet, Herbert, Maple Creek, Shaunavon, Vanguard/Hodgeville.  The schedule for the first couple of weeks is as follows:

Girls – September 13.  Hosts include Fox Valley (guests Maple Creek, Eastend),  Hodgeville (guests Hazlet, Shaunavon), Gull Lake (guests Herbert, Frontier).

Boys – September 14.  Hosts include Vanguard (guests Ponteix, Frontier) and Hazlet (guest Shaunavon).

Girls – September 20. Hosts include Maple Creek (guests Fox Valley, Gull Lake), Frontier (guests Eastend, Hazlet), Herbert (guests Vanguard, Shaunavon).

Boys – September 21.  Hosts include Ponteix (guests Frontier, Hazlet) and Shaunavon (guest Vanguard).

Games will start around 4:30-5:00.

                Soccer leagues will also be starting for both the Swift Current Ardens and Colts.  Both will be taking part in the Moose Jaw Soccer League.  First game for the Ardens is Tuesday, Sept 13 when they host Moose Jaw Peacock.  First game for the Colts is Wednesday, Sept 14 when they also host Moose Jaw Peacock.

                The SWAC district golf championship will take place on Tuesday, Sept 13 at Ponteix.  Thanks to our commissioner Jo-Ann Sadden and Ponteix Golf Course for hosting us!  Results to follow.
