The SWAC golf championships were held at Ponteix on Sept. 13. It was a bright sunny day with a stiff breeze but warmed up nicely in the afternoon. Thanks to Ponteix Golf Club and commissioner Jo-Ann Sadden for all their hard work! We had 27 golfers take part - 24 boys and 3 girls. Schools participating were Swift Current Comp, Fox Valley, Leader, Maple Creek, Eastend, Shaunavon and Ponteix.

Our top boys and girls team plus the top 3 individuals in boys & girls competition are eligible to advance to SHSAA provincials on Sept 23/24 at Madge Lake.
The Swift Current Ardens and Colts opened their season with wins in the Moose Jaw soccer league. On Sept 13, the Ardens hosted Moose Peacock and posted a 9-0 win. The Colts followed on Wednesday with 7-1 at home over Peacock. Upcoming games include:

The next SWAC championship will be cross country. This will be held on Wednesday, October 5 at Grasslands National Park near Val Marie. This is open to runners in grades 4-12 but only grades 9-12 are eligible to advance to provincials. Races will start at 2:30 p.m.
