The SHSAA was proud to present the 1A Boys Volleyball Sportsmanship Award to the Vanguard Valkyrs.  The presentation took place on February 1, 2017 during a school assembly attended by the school community and parents.

Vanguard is a previous winner of one of the four additional sportsmanship banners that can be awarded by the SHSAA each year.  This year's banner representing the team's efforts toward sportsmanship during the provincial championship hosted at Chief Kahkewistahaw is the third award for the school.

Congratulations to the team, Principal Shwaga and Coaches McComsh, Caswell, and Englot for an award that was well deserved.
