The SHSAA Executive Council met on January 24, 2021 and as a result of their meeting discussions, the decision was made to cancel the 2021 SHSAA Badminton and Track & Field Provincial Championships. A notice of the decisions can be viewed by clicking here.
Updates provided January 12, 2021 indicated that the public health measures of November 27, 2020 and December 14, 2020 have been extended until January 29, 2021. When District Presidents and Athletic Commissioners meet on December 3, they will be presented with updated documents that will include guidelines and recommendations for competition in the winter activities. The publication of these documents will occur after the Christmas break, if and only if, competition is once again available to youth sport, and activities are approved by educational authorities in Saskatchewan.
